Was born in Otynia village, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In 2005 he graduated from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, majoring in accounting and auditing.

He defended the dissertation for obtaining a scientific degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in specialty 08.00.04 – Economy and Management of Enterprises (by the types of economic activity). – Lviv National Agrarian University of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Lviv, 2008.

He defended the dissertation for obtaining a scientific degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences in specialty 08.00.04 – Economy and Management of Enterprises (by the types of economic activity). – Lviv National Agrarian University of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Lviv, 2020.. Matkovskyi P. Y. Modernization of agricultural enterprises: theory, methodology, practice. – Qualifying scientific work on the rights of manuscripts.

In 2008 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences in the specialty 08.00.04 – “Economics and Management of Enterprises (by types of economic activity)”.

Author of 106 scientific papers. Of these: 89 are scientific (including 48 articles; 2 single monograph, 4 collective monographs, 35 publications in collections of materials of international and all-Ukrainian scientific-practical conferences) and 17 educational-methodical ones.
